Winter League Winner |

| Congratulations to Chris Heywood, run away winner of the Marsden Winter League. Apparently new golf chairman, Alan Harper, has Chris in his sights. 2nd place went to the organiser and Club Treasurer Paul Coward, he was closely follwed by Club Vice Captain, Dave Mallinson. I don't propose to list the final league positions on the site, however I will tell you the author finished 28th, obviously big things are expected this season. |

| As I write this report the Captains Drive Off competition due to have been held on the 24th March has been cancelled due to an unseasonal snow fall closing the course. The season proper gets under way, weather permitting, on Saturday the 29th March 2008, with the R. N. L. I. Spoon. |

| At the start of the golf season here at Marsden, members will notice a new player score input system, The system will work via your swipe card, however if you forget your card you can enter your new club number which will be the number on the back of the card. Swipe the card, your details will come up on screen, the screen is a touch screen enter your scores and complete the on screen instructions. Members of the main committee, the golf committee, the steward and stewardess have all received extensive training in this state of the art touch screen technology.
